Putting Down Roots
The May luncheon will be held at The Grill at the Hunter Ranch Golf Course. The Hunter Ranch Grill is a highly-rated, favorite restaurant for locals and visitors alike, with indoor and al fresco dining that overlooks the golf course. We will be dining in the courtyard, under the oaks.
Menu: There will be four options to select from:
Beverages will include iced tea and water. Wine and beer are available for purchase. Dessert will be Chef’s choice.
Program: Our speaker will be Melanie Barket, Director for CASA of San Luis Obispo. Melanie is a Cal Poly graduate with a degree in Psychology and Human Development. She has lived in the North County for eight years and has provided health education for local at-risk youth in her past work at CAPSLO and the County Health Department. Melanie has been with CASA for two and a half years and developed and implemented the CASA Mentor Program for transitional aged youth. CASA recruits, trains and supervises volunteer advocates for abused, neglected and abandoned children in San Luis Obispo County. CASA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
