The May luncheon will be held at The Grill at the Hunter Ranch Golf Course. The Hunter Ranch Grill is a highly-rated, favorite restaurant for locals and visitors alike, with indoor and al fresco dining that overlooks the golf course. We will be dining in the courtyard, under the oaks.

Menu: There will be four options to select from:

  • Cobb Salad: A masterpiece plastered with fresh garden greens, topped with grilled chicken, Kelly’s bacon, bleu cheese crumbles, tomatoes, hardboiled egg, avocado, red onions, black olives and served with your choice of dressing.
  • Da Vinci Sandwich: Marinated and grilled chicken breast, Kelly’s bacon, fresh avocado slices, lettuce, tomato, red onions and melted Swiss cheese, served on our demi loaf with basil aioli.
  • Fish Tacos: Beer battered Icelandic cod fried to a golden brown, wrapped in warm corn tortillas and topped with a creamy chipotle sauce, fresh cilantro, green cabbage and lemon. Served with black beans and rice.
  • Southwest Salad (vegetarian option): Romaine lettuce, black beans, cheddar and jack cheeses, layered with tomato, red onion, guacamole, sour cream, cilantro and black olives. Finished with crispy corn tortilla strips served with our Chipotle Ranch dressing and Salsa Fresca.

Beverages will include iced tea and water. Wine and beer are available for purchase. Dessert will be Chef’s choice.

Program: Our speaker will be Melanie Barket, Director for CASA of San Luis Obispo.  Melanie is a Cal Poly graduate with a degree in Psychology and Human Development. She has lived in the North County for eight years and has provided health education for local at-risk youth in her past work at CAPSLO and the County Health Department. Melanie has been with CASA for two and a half years and developed and implemented the CASA Mentor Program for transitional aged youth.  CASA recruits, trains and supervises volunteer advocates for abused, neglected and abandoned children in San Luis Obispo County. CASA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
